Version : 7.x
OS : Windows
Question
During the installation of Document Express Enterprise, the installation wizard prompts me to enter the Windows Service Account, but I don't know what to enter here.

Answer
Document Express Enterprise allows you to convert files via the watch folder without logging into your desktop. This is because the watch folder feature of Document Express Enterprise automatically starts up as a Windows Service when your machine is powered on. This Windows Service uses one of the acctual user accounts which are registered to your machine. This means the Windows Service runs the conversion jobs on behalf of you. Normally this service user account should be the user who runs the installation wizard.
If you convert Microsoft Office files, you need to install Microsoft Office and make sure that it works properly. This is because Document Express Enterprise runs Microsoft Office and does the conversion jobs using the service account you specified.
Windows Service Account needs to be specified as the fully qualified name. The fully qualified name should look like "<Machine Name>\<User Name>" or "<Domain Name>\<User Name>".
How to find the fully qualified name of your Windows account
Please follow the steps below to find the full path of your account:
1. Select Run... from Start Menu, enter "taskmgr" and click OK.

2. After Task Manager starts up, select the "User" tab, and select the user whose session is marked as "Console" in the list.

3. Select "Show Full Account Name" from Option menu.

4. The text in the User column is the fully qualified name of your user account. Please enter this text into the installation wizard. Please note that the machine / domain name and the user name is delimited by "\".
